I'm working on some exercises about pronouns. There's more to them than I realized.
This exercise is a translation exercise with sentences given to me in English to translate to Spanish. I got most of them correct, but have questions about these two:
7) English: That is why you should vote.
My translation: Por eso debes votar.
The book's translation: Eso es por qué debes votar.
8) English: That is why I shouldn't smoke.
My translation: Por esto no debo fumar.
The book's translation: Esto es por qué no debo fumar.
I know that what the book gives is a literal translation. But as for the actual meanings of the sentences, does my original attempt suffice? Does it mean the same thing, basically?
Thanks!!
