∫ dy/dx: "Integral de dy partido por dx" ?

∫ dy/dx: the mathematical symbol (∫ ) often used before dy or dx to mean the sum of all the values of y or x in infinite series. ∫ dy/dx is a nonsense equation that might be suggested as a formula of communication by a hypothetical engineer.

Esto es más una pregunta de pronunciación. (Hace años que estudié el cálculo de derivadas y el integral...)

¿Cómo se pronuncia "∫ dy/dx" como fórmula de cálculo infinitesimal [diferencial/integral]?

Por lo que recuerdo era algo como "integral de dy partido por dx"... ¿suena correcto... o hay otra forma mejor de decirlo?

En el contexto donde me aparece, no tiene una importancia "matemática", pero me gustaría saber cómo se diría...

If you must say it (because it's meaningless) you would say

'integral of dee why by dee ex'

The second order differential is pronounced 'dee squared y by dee x squared'. If you use the notation ^ for a power then

∫ (x^3 + x^6) dx would be pronounced

'integral of ex cubed plus ex to the six(th) dee ex'

Thank you, Perikles. The context is just a "nonsensical" one, even somewhat jokingly amusing... but having the "proper way" to say it, may make it even more funny...

(Somewhat similar to the pedantic "aunque somos tontos, no carecemos de ignorancia"...)
