Quisiera presentarme
¡Hola, amigos! Quisiera presentarme a todos los demás usuarios de este foro. Me llamo Timoteo (Timothy en inglés). Mi apellido es "Goodenough," por eso me puse "Bastantebueno" como apodo. Soy profesor de español en una escuela secundaria de San Antonio, TX. He vivido en Costa Rica y el Paraguay como misionero, y después estudié en Madrid y pasé buena parte de cuatro veranos en España. Me gusta mucho leer, escribir, y hablar el castellano. Por eso me mudé a San Antonio hace un año atrás (en el verano de 2007), porque quería vivir más el idioma y la cultura.

Estoy casado con la única mujer de mi vida desde 1976 (llevamos 32 años juntos). Se llama Pammala. Tenemos tres hijos crecidos ya. La mayor, Raquel, está casada con Ramiro Vásquez, de Cochabamba, Bolivia. Pablo y Elizabeth todavía son solteros, pero han salido del nido.

Un colega mío me enseñó este websitio el año pasado. Lo uso como otro punto de referencia con los alumnos, para resolver las dudas que tienen a veces.

Bienvenido. Tu español es increíble. A mí me pasa lo que a tí, pero con la cultura anglosajona. Puede que alguna vez en el futuro me vaya a vivir a Inglaterra, pero lo veo difícil.
De momento me conformo con mis vacaciones y con el contacto constante que mi familia y yo tenemos con la comunidad de "ex-pats" de aquí de Madrid que es muy grande y muy variada, tanto a nivel cultural como económico y social, lo cual yo creo ha enriquecido nuestra vida y ha abierto a mis hijos los ojos a muchas cosas nuevas.

In my opinion England is a really beautiful country. I also like what I remember of Scotland and the bit I know of Wales. I've never been to Ireland, but my children have.

I never have been in England, only in Mexico, but repeat I believe England is a beautiful City, like what Mexico.
