Lo sobrenatural vs el mal

Hi,

"La hija de las tinieblas" significa "daughter of darkness" en inglés. Esta frase se utiliza comúnmente para describir a un personaje femenino asociado con lo sobrenatural, el mal, vampiros o la oscuridad.

This is the AI explanation. My question: why not lo mal?

el mal (noun) = evil
"lo mal (adverb)" is an incomplete bit where "lo" is a "determinante sustantivador" that makes "mal" into an abstract noun, usually with the purpose of comparing or highlighting

No sabes lo mal que se sentía.

"La hija de las tinieblas" is a mildly creepy, nonsensical phrase that seems to refer to a character in a videogame. AI, as usual, overexplains it adding every bit it can catch that satisfies the principle of verisimilitude.
