"mirar a las musarañas" is to daydream (andar distraído). Maybe it's not used that way in México.

The last Sunday the box hydraulic of my truck got a damage during the trip to Villahermosa City.

When was the last time you travel to a town?

Bob - thanks for the corrections to my (lousy) spelling. That teaches me to try to post whilst teaching Algebraic equations to a room full of teenagers. But actually, I need to know if my use of "espero" and "estuviera" are correct. I wasn't sure if "espero" is the right word for "I wish that..." and if "estuviera" (estar vs. ser and the use of the imperfect subjuntive) were correct. That's what I'm asking about...........

My question was meant to be such: When was the last time you saw an optical illusion? (I was actually thinking of an illusion on paper or on your computer screen........)

To continue with answering Bob's question:

Oh sorry I thought it was correct earlier so I left it unchanged, but after some rest and a relook I believe ser is correcto.

You were right to use that verb tense, when you need to use the subjuntive in the past tense you should use "el imperfecto del subjuntivo"

I hope that I was quick enough to be able to answer......

Only the sentence sounded a bit strange so I suggested to use "tener"

"Espero que tuviera bastante rapidez/prisa para poder contestar...."
