Then I can say.
When a person isn't a person.

I'm right?

Thank you.
Remember, puns are only funny when you apply more than one meaning (son juegos de palabras). The verb 'turn into' doesn't always mean 'doblar en/por'. It also means 'convertirse en'.

Where's the rest of the joke?

Son: When is a person not a person?
Father: When he's a pear, son!

I think I just made up that one.

I think you did, too. (Too bad 'pear, son' isn't pronounced exactly like 'person'. 'Purse, son' is, but it doesn't make sense.)

I found:
When is a person not a person?
When he's a little cross!

Yeah, I used a bit of creative license with the pronunciation on mine. I couldn't help it. It popped into my head and made me laugh so I had to share

I like the one you found much better

Hah!
Yes, no more guars!!

guar (gwär), n.
a plant of the legume family, grown as a forage crop and for its seeds, which produce a gum (guar gum) used as a thickening agent and stabilizer in foods and pharmaceuticals and as sizing for paper and cloth.

@David:

Two "bilingual" ones:

-- ¿Cuántas anclas tiene un barco?
-- Once, porque al zarpar, el capitán dice: "¡Eleven anclaaaas!"

-- ¿Por qué el mar es azul?
-- Porque los peces hacen "blu, blu, blu".

And...
Did you hear about the Buddhist who went to the dentist and refused to take
Novocain? He wanted to transcend dental medication.

This one is perhaps a bit tricky:

Why should you never say cogito ergo sum before carpe diem?

Because that would be putting Descartes before de Horace. (cringe)

That is neat! Unfortunately 'untranslatable' (poner el carro delante del caballo!)
