This is probably some Yiddish slang, difficult to explain. In this slang, if you want to criticise something, you repeat the word with the first consonants turned to sch...

(I'm having difficulty thinking of an example)

music schmusic..... (=terrible music)

There again, I could be completely wrong......

I would go with "Eschmacias"... but is there an 'genuinely' Spanish way to convey this derision?

When looking at "Joe Schmoe" I thought of "Juan Lanas" (not exactly the same) or "Perico el de los Palotes"... but I cannot think of a "generic" way to do the same "schm" does in English-Schmenglish... ?

Elaina will become famous soon enough
You know...... there is a kid's program from Australia called "The Upside Down Show". In this program are characters called "The Schmuzzies".
When the "schmuzzies" talk they pronounce everything with "sch" in the beginning of the word so that .......
- hobbies = schmobbies
- shoes = schmoos
- thank you = schmank you

Maybe the tee shirt was just using Schmuzzies language.

Well, maybe......

Sometimes there is no "deep" significance to anything.......

Sometimes a word is just a word that someone made up....it follows no grammatical rule, it is not in a dictionary, it doesn't really mean anything, it is just a word.........made up by Schmuzzies!

Pienso que lo que quería indicar con la camiseta era que se viese más la televisión, quitándole importancia a los hobbies (Scmobbies)

Quisiera saber si hay usos Yiddish en el español de Argentina, o aún la Habana que tiene una población de hebreos del este de europa que llegaron alli la misma epoca (circa de 1900) que llegaron a EEUU.
