un poco de color rosa poco está bien, pero no rojo

is that close? Must I use the word color or can I leave that out?

What if I want to say please at the end?

Do I add por favor at the end of the sentence or after pero?

Like in English, you can add "please" before the whole phrase or at the end.

Gracias Chileno. I looked mine up using google translate and it just didn't look right. They are cooking the chicken to much in the kitchen and I want to let them know to back off a little bit and a little pink is ok with me. Not for everyone, just mine. They speak english pretty well but I like to try and speak Spanish with them. They are very good sports about it.

I don't really understand. When they cook the chicken too much, it becomes brown, not red.
I would say it other way
"me gusta el pollo poco hecho" I like the chicken not much cooked
"me gusta el pollo en su punto" I like the chicken well cooked, chef's rules
"me gusta el pollo bien hecho" I like the chicken a little much cooked
"me gusta el pollo quemado" I like the chicken burned

your sentence was ok, another version "un poco rosa está bien, pero no rojo, por favor"

Queda rojo cuando no lo cocinan bastante. Lo que quiere decir es que sea lo suficiente cocinado para matar las bacterias pero poco hecho para que quede jugoso, o algo así.
