I'm not Gemma, but I like 'em. If you're ever in Mexico City you should try one too. Apparently, a lot of English silver miners from Cornwall came over to Real del Monte in Mexico, and brought along pasties (pastes in Spanish). It's now a traditional food in some areas of central Mexico.

I love Cornish pasties and all kinds of meat pies, but you should see the way my eldest son wolves them down...
Marsopa, if you ever have the chance, do go to England, it's worth it.

Maria,
Avoid Mrs. Lovett's meat pies by all means. But if you have no other choice, select mushroom leek.

I am really surprised that Cornish pasties are available in Mexico City! Is
there a specific neighborhood?

Have you seen the movie Sweeney Todd?
If you haven't, here's a synopsis. Sweeney is a London barber who cuts his customers throats Mrs Lovett, his landlady, owns a meat pie shop, and uses the murder victums to stuff her empanadas.
If you haven't seen it, I hope this doesn't dicourage you from viewing it. Dispite the gore, it's a wonderful adaption of the Broadway musical.

Nice name. When my little one was born we were not sure whether to call him David or Pablo. He ended up being Pablo, but I like your name too. Why did you choose Poli as your alias?

They're all over the place. You can find a good shop inside the northern bus station (la Central del Norte), near Indios Verdes.

Not to mention the fact that another member did choose to use David as his username. He hasn't been around for awhile, though.
