Yes, I'm fine. These kind of issues about English phraseology are frustrating because there seem to be no clear rules, and there are regional and temporal differences which defy a categorical answer. In this respect, English must be difficult as a foreign language.

P.D. Acabo de encontrar un cerdo bastante grande en la cocina (vivo). Pregunté al vecino con una finca si le faltaba un cerdo, y digo sí, este cerdo suele hacer un paseo cada tarde, pero esta vez se ha perdido. Increíble.

That's why I gave up on grammar.

You would think because we have a RAE it is better, but they change stuff whenever they want. No great loss though. :->

Vivimos en una aldea en el oeste de Tenerife, seis kilómetros del mar, con casi mil metros de altitud. Tenemos una vista panorámica del mar y de las montañas también. No hay ningunos turistas, y es muy tranquilo cuando no hay la caza y no hay cerdos sueltos.

Aquí es una foto como vemos la puesta del sol encima de la isla Las Palmas. Se ve la isla La Gomera también.

Sí, por eso te preguntaba dónde vivías, porque he estado en muchos sitios en España, pero no he visto ningún pueblo, aldea, vila, etc. en que hubiera cerdos sueltos. Perros y gatos, sí, pero cerdos...

Además, los cerdos son peligrosos. Si ves otro cerdo, déjalo tranquilo, no le digas nada

Yo sé, pero mi vecino es un poco loco. Es muy simpatico, pero tiene un cerdo, un defecto de habla y también habla un dialectico impenetrable.

Well, it's all relative, but for example German has very distinct rules generally, and especially about which particles and prepositions you use for which nouns. And although there are huge regional differences within Germany, German is not as bad as English in the sense that you can sometimes declare something as wrong in 'High German' without somebody in some obscure faraway country saying that where they are it is correct.

I agree. A German friend of mine who is learning Dutch regularly goes crazy because German in many ways is a much more 'regular' language than Dutch.. All the exceptions and especially the subtle differences in meaning with respect to the order in which the words are placed in a sentence regularly drive him up the wall.. (<< esta pared.. )

And they say German and Dutch are so closely related..
