Yes that is very used in México, inclusive here in the primary where I am the children tend to say that likely in the time free, then there're other form to say that in Spanish, because in Spanish you can change the form say something at least three times.

For instance you can say.

Lonche, desayuno as you normally know the breakfast and finally other ones I know it.

Let's go to eat a Pizarro this last phrase is very strange for me, because only I have seen use that phrase here for the south four times in a town called Caucel in Mérida. Although I don't grasp to understand exactly if that means a kind to food or only it takes a breakfast, not really I am sure.

But well I believe also in your country musts exist other form to say breakfast in English and I would like to know what they are.
