TEACHER: Now, Simon, tell me frankly, do you say prayers before eating?

Ha Ha Ha! At least today I could laugh (while) reading your jokes. Your jokes (They) were very good.
En inglés, decimos Ha Ha Ha! en vez de jajaja. Como no podemos leer la risa (laughter), puse jokes. En la última frase, te faltan la cópula to be (conjugated as were) y el órden correcto (sustantivo, cópula, predicado adjetivo).

Really funny, Jane. They all are very you.

Rusty, cópula is perfect Spanish for what you mean, but one could think you are not speaking about grammar. Te falta la cópula, well, at least he got to first level base...

You know I was talking about grammar, a linking verb!

We say at least he got to first base, by the way.

OK, to first base.

You can also say: verbo copulativo which sounds less provocative.

Yeah, I knew that was an option. Thanks.

I didn't think that what I said would be taken provocatively.

No, of course not. It's just me. I've been watching a documentary about wild animals on TV and we are in the Spring...

What is (spring)?

I'm sorry but I don't understand you, the part of (we are in the spring).

Could you explain me, a little better or light.

Thanks.

Querido Jorge: During Spring, hormones go crazy and change people's habits. I'm not sure if this will enlighten the meaning of the post above, but... if you reread it... maybe you'll understand it... Any volunteer to explain what happens during Spring?

You can also say: No sabía que los verbos copulaban.

This morning, in El Retiro, I've seen a couple of verbs copulating. People passed by pretending not to see them. Does such a thing happen in Central Park?

To use nunca sabía you should refer to a repeated action in a past period of time: Me volvía loco, nunca sabía lo que estaba a punto de suceder.

Before to explain it to you, Crotalito, I must make sure you are over eighteen or that legal age in your country to be fully responsible of your acts.
If so, I will send you a private message.

Estás más "gone out"(traducción chapuza, nobody think this is real English), Alfonso... By the way, do you know what the word is in English? I'll give you a clue. It starts with h.

People didn't pretend not to see them. They didn't see them. It wasn't that obvious...
In Central Park? Please, Americans are decent people, unlike these decadent Europeans...
