'Drive safely' is directed at the driver of the vehicle, whatever it may be. I would say this to a motorcyclist.
That said, I'm sure there are some who would say 'ride safely' to a motorcyclist. I have used 'ride safely' when I'm suggesting that a child operate his bicycle carefully. It seems that both may be used, even though I would personally use 'drive' when addressing a motorcyclist and 'ride' when addressing a child on a bike. |
