This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for May 13, 2009

acertijo (masculine noun (el)) — riddle. Look up acertijo in the dictionary

No pude hallar la respuesta para el acertijo.
I couldn't find the answer to the riddle.

A synonimous for "acertijo" is "adivinanza". In Spain is most used "adivinanza" than "acertijo", and children usually say: "adivina adivinanza..."
