Parece que esto se dice de una persona que tiene que tomar una decisión pero no puede decidir, está vacilando entre dos opciones. Ahora que un hablante nativo diga si estoy bien o no.

Correcto. No recuerdo los origenes, pero Pinto y Valdemoro son dos localidades próximas en la provincia de Madrid.

Otro significado :
Estar entre Pinto y Valdemoro, viene a significar no tener claro dónde se está o lo que se hace

Sí, también se puede usar así.
Dicen que había un borracho que cada día pasaba por un arroyo que separaba Pinto de Valdemoro. Saltaba de un lado al otro del arroyo y decía : "ahora estoy en Pinto, ahora estoy en Valdemoro". Un día se cayó al arroyo y dijo: "ahora estoy entre Pinto y Valdemoro"
