Estar como un pan

I haven't heard this term in a while. Now I realize it was a compliment...that was then. I hope this pan hasnt gone too stale and moldy.

In English we say strapping, but that usually means a robust man (as in a strapping young man). You may hear the word adonis to discribe a very handsome man, but not often.
These days stud muffin is used by some.

Well just 'stud' too though that has a kind of sexual implication as well.

Does this exression only refer to men? I think she would hit you with her handbag if you called a girl a hunk. I would probably call her a peach instead .
