En la sección "idioms" de Tomísimo tienes: it never rains but it pours;
(Que viene a comunicar la idea.)
Hay quien lo traduce literal, y lo interpreta:
To a skinny dog, all are fleas. Interpretations: If/when you are weak, it will seem that only problems surround...
I also found,
The weaker has the worst.
An unhappy man's cart is eith to tumble.

(I believe "eith to" stands for something like "has a tendency"??)

Pues sí, parece que eso sería equivalente...
when it rains, it pours (AmE),
it never rains but it pours (BrE)
Pero también, por otro lado, como decía mi madre: Las penas con pan son menos...
