Bien Vs Buen

Please reinforce me on the use of bien and buen in Spanish sentences.

For example are these correct?

Muy bien.

Bien, gracias.

Muy bueno/buena.

Bien semana or semana buena?

Noche buena ( In the Philippines it is the term used for a meal that is eaten after a midnight mass on 25th of Dec.) if I remember correctly since I have not been a Roman Catholic. It is probably the same in Spanish speaking countries.

Except for 'bien semana', all are correctly written.

Bien is an adverb and means 'well' in English.
Bueno is an adjective and means 'good' in English. Since this is an adjective, it must agree in number and gender with the noun it modifies.

Since we are talking about this I'd like to ask why people answer the phone with "bueno.."

@Chris: That's only in Mexico... in other countries they answer: "Hola" or "Aló"
...and sorry, I have no idea, it's just how it is.

Here we say "¿Sí?". Some years ago people said "¿Diga?", but very few people answers like this now, "¿Sí?" is the most common answer.
