A mi me gusta un buen bistek!

Medium well - medio

Un buen vaso de vino tinto y pan con mantequilla (to sop up the juice)..... oh man, I am hungry now!

My palate still can't stomach sea food......but I'll eat Gorton's Fish Sticks(!!)

BUT ... I figured that it means lamentably. Unfortunately, that then means that I don't understand the rest of the sentence because it doesn't make sense to me. It sounds like he's saying that "lamentably, there are few restaurants that have the perfect pizza", and then he says "nevertheless, almost all the pizzerias and restaurants with pizza on the menu have better pizza than is sold at Pizza Hut or Dominos." Is that right? So he's lamenting the fact that there is no perfect pizza? Aren't our expectations a little high?
Yes expectations are high. It's hard to perfect a simple thing. Most privately-owned pizza places around here make pizza that is better that the big chain restaurants, but very few make really superb pizza.

Did you mean tacos al pastor? I didn't recognize the dish you wrote so I went looking. I found all kinds of web sites that talk about tacos al pastor. I've never tried them before, but they sound very good.

If you meant tacos al pastor, the translation is Mexican Shepherd-Style Tacos.

Ok I didn't know the translation for tacos al pastor, but thank you for the hint, I will keep in mind the translation above, yes I meant Tacos al pastor, now my wife went to buy some tacos for me.

Then the translation for tacos al pastor is Shepherd-style.

al pastor = shepherd-style
tacos al pastor = shepherd-style tacos

And, since this is a Mexican dish, I added Mexican to the translation to make it more accurate. So, tacos al pastor is Mexican shepherd-style tacos.

hint = pista, indirecta
to hint = dar a entender, insinuar, lanzar indirectas

If we're talking Spanish food, I recently tried chicha morada (a Peruvian soft drink) for the first time and fell in love with it. I'm sure it has enough sugar in it to supply my caloric intake for several weeks. But it is SO yummy!!!!!!
