Lo normal en españa es decir testigo presencial, indicando que estuvo en el lugar de los hechos. Hay otros testigos, como dice irmamar, que pueden ser mas indirectos.
Por ejemplo en un caso de corrupción, puedes tener un testigo presencial (que vió a los implicados intercambiarse dinero) o simplemente un testigo (por ejemplo el contable que lo apuntó luego en un libro de cuentas secreto, otra persona que sabía que se iban a juntar, etc)) Saludos
