Darse bien/se me da mejor...
I know that it means I am good at/ or I am better at. I suspect that this isn't used much in Latin America. Am I right? If so, how would you say this in the Americas?

"Dársele bien/mejor algo a alguien" is a common expression. It's more often found as simply "dársele /no dársele algo a alguien".
![]() - Se me da (bien) el dibujo. -> I'm good at drawing. - Cocinar no se me da. -> I'm not good at cooking. - Eres muy bueno en matemáticas, pero creo que se te da mejor la física. -> You're pretty good at math, but you're far better at physics. - En esta casa no se nos da el orden. -> In this house we're definitely not orderly. - ¿Qué tal se te dan los acertijos? -> Are you good at solving puzzles?
