Vivaquear detrás de la oreja

I figured out that un zumbido vivaqueando detrás de la oreja means a
constant reminder. Is this a common expression? Is it used in Latin-America?

Never had heard that expression.

Nosotros decimos "como pulga en la oreja" as a bother or a constant reminder.
