Examen de recuperación

Hi everybody,
I' ve been so busy that I have neglected you all. I' ll try to connect myself once a day.
How do you say in English Examen de recuperacion ?
Sorry my computer crashed one month ago, and the one I'm using doesn't have the accents thing.

I think you can say catch-up exam or make-up test. Anglo teachers and grade schooler here in the forum would know better.

Agree with Poli, in the US I think you say, retake exam, makeup test
In Britain I believe it is resit.

By the way, welcome back Robin!

(Para mi "makeup test" suena a examen de maquillaje...)

How funny what a hyphen could do!
(But both "make-up" and "makeup" are correct, strictly speaking.)

Interestingly enough I just posted answering on the "gazapo" thread and came across "canard" which now I see it could also be "make-up" as in "A made-up story; an invention, a fiction."

I guess if I say, "I passed my makeup test with flying colors... in June" it will be obvious that was my exam/test on cosmetics.

My make-up test in September was my last opportunity to save my bacon, and I studied the philosophy of Sir Francis (Bacon) to pass it at last... that would be obvious that it is not in reference to my ability to place a fake beard on anyone's face... (Although I'd be able to do so with a bit of practice...)

There is also the Spanish term "repesca" understood as "retake exam" or "make up exam".

Cheers!
