"She was asking after you."

"Ella estaba preguntado por ti"


I mean when a friend asks me about another friend, when they ask how they are doing etc and then I tell the other person that they were "asking after you"

Yo diría: Me estuvo preguntando por vos (ti) o Me preguntó por vos (ti). Preguntó por vos (ti).

(ella) (Me) Estaba preguntando por vos (tí) hace un rato.
