I guess whip and beat are synonyms.
Now, what you use to whip your eggs.... is that a beater or a whipper, or both are correct?

We would whip cream or eggs with a beater or a whisk.
To beat someone with a stick or whip, we sometimes say Thrash or Lash.
If we use the word smashed it would usually mean drunk.
He was smashed out of his skull - very drunk
He is a smack head - He uses drugs

I'd forgotten the word whisk...and thanks for reminding me of these words. :)

I normally use a fork. A whisk is overkill unless you're making meringues.

I forbid you to talk about merengues (in Spanish)! I am one of those guys with a propensity for diabetes type 2 and I have to watch my diet.... :) :D

I'm not a fan of merengue. The footwork is hideously tricky. Give me a mambo any day.
