You can say laconic, only people with good vocabularies will understand you.
The common saying is: the cat's got you tongue.

Yes but that is different. I mean when you don´t know what to say, because you lack words.

Entonces si estás agobiado y sin palabras se puede decir:
to be left speechless.

Pero una persona puede ser "parco en palabras" siempre. Un hermano mío es parco en palabras, "le tienes que sacar las palabras con pinzas" (otra expresión :))

short of words
a person a few words
taciturn
laconic
quiet
all these usually describe if you are quiet by nature

If you are temporarily quiet, then the saying is : the cat's got your tongue
keeping mum

So you can say I´m short of words, after all.

Ser parco en palabras
To be a person of few words
To not be very talkative
To be quiet
To be reserved

So you can say I´m short of words, after all.

I think so, but it doesn't sound very natural to me personally.

I've heard "to be short of words" when one has an incapability to communicate with words what they want.

I'm short of words to tell you how scared I was.

It was so beautiful, that I'm short of words to describe what it was like.

"Ser parco" is rather voluntary.
