That is so true!

But on the bright side, she could be speaking for herself and her baby. Maybe the gifts were for her and her baby.

But you are right.....it should have been......

Me encantaron or Me encantan

:)

Oh, that is exactly why I said "nos encantan" the first time, too. But she has "I love them" in her English version, and she pointed that out to me. LOL! Makes sense in English. :)

Ah yes! It does look like I should have said "Me encantan"! I was doing way too many things at the time and wasn't thinking about how "encantar" is like "gustar". The last thing I studied was direct and indirect object pronouns. That's why I translated "I love them" as "Los encanto". I think/hope she understands my Spanish in progress :D .

The English looks fine to me, but I question the Spanish - surely it should be: Esperamos que su año nuevo sea maravilloso :thinking:

Er - which way are you translating?

:)

Do you think a native speaker would get what I was trying to say though, even if my Spanish needs a lot of work? *bag*.

Yes, I understand you. :)

If you don't want to use the subjunctive, you can say: "Les deseamos un maravilloso año nuevo".
