I have heard that word in the movie.

That happens to adjectives, but pasando is a participle which never changes its ending.

You couldn't translate that literally word-for-word, because Spanish sentences can't end in a preposition. I would use "¿Qué pasa?", though there are quite a lot of variations of the expression.
