Hola! I think that you know that I am teaching myself to speak Spanish, right? I discovered "Practice Makes Perfect" books through Amazon.com. I spent over a year and a half working through their (huge) basic grammar book, but although I feel that I learned a LOT, I do also think that every section could have gone more in depth with more exercises. Therefore, I have gotten some of their more topic specific books to find that depth. (Currently working on a book about the use of the subjunctive.) You always mention the workbooks you are using in your posts, can you share with me what workbooks you are using and what works best! Especially with preterite vs. imperfect. I'm stuck with that, and I am never confident on which to use! Thanks in advance!! =)

I live in the DC area, and we have several Spanish language channels with our basic cable package because we have a huge spanish-speaking population. Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

Hi Lou Ann. I saw in a thread where you said you watch Telemundo to help with your Spanish. Do you watch it online or do you actually get it on your TV? I'm hoping there's a way I could watch online!?
