The girl in the video correctly pronounces the clipped 'r' (single 'r', as in 'pero'). The Spanish clipped 'r' and the Spanish 'l' are different sounds, and you are definitely saying an 'l' sound while trying to say the clipped 'r' sound. Your 'l' sounds like the English 'l'. The Spanish 'l' is very similar, but it isn't the same as the English 'l'.

You may continue to use profile comments for communication with me (as a new member of the forums, you're only allowed to send one PM per day).

Getting the right sound is important, don't get me wrong, but most people struggle with perfect pronunciation in a foreign tongue. Most are content knowing that they speak with an accent. There's nothing wrong with having an accent, unless your accent is so thick that no one can understand you. With some practice, you will be understood, but may always have an accent.

Thanks Rusty! Sorry for the extra efforts my post caused. I was intended to improve my pronunciation of rolled 'r' but seems my pronunciation of clipped 'r' is also incorrect, while I don't know if it was just my Spanish because I can definitely clearly sound English 'r' and 'l'.(I'm not a Japanese XD no offense, just a fact that they don't have 'r' in Japanese) I was just following this video from 04'35": http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzM1ODM5MjQ0.html So could you please help me get clear if her pronunciation of the clipped 'r' is the clearly right one(which I assumed) while mine was not, i.e., I do have difficulty in differentiating between the 'l' and the 'r' in Spanish.
For further contact, is it fine to PM you?
Thank you for your efforts again!
