Yes, I've been living in Canada for many years - nobody around here speaks Spanish, so
I was out of practice until I found the forum. Now, little by little it's coming back to me.

studies.

Yes, and one of my professors, who was Cuban, used to say " Para hablar una lengua hay que
pensar en esa lengua.", and that takes time...

I was fortunate to have spent a year in the Caribbean (Santo Domingo) and became able to
think in Spanish, and then spend the rest of my life expanding vocabulary.

Thanks, Crotalito - years ago I learned a lot of my Spanish from my Mexican friends,
one from Texas who spoke Mex-Tex, others from New Mexico, Los Angeles, Tijuana,
and Jalisco...
