I do read in Spanish - I 'borrow' my teenage daughter's set books which she has to read at school when she has finished with them.

Read something that interest you as a woman and not as a mom.
Do it aloud, as it will builds confidence, besides fluidity and softening your accent. :)
You know, you will not like your voice, that's first shock.
The second shock comes when you realize how bad your accent is. You will want to die right on the spot!
But all will be ok and worth it. :)
