Email formal, necesito ayuda

Email formal, necesito ayuda

Dear Sir or Madam,

On March 16
I purchased two tickets (Preferred/Silver weekend package) for the XXXXXXXXXXXX. I had to purchase them for separate because I paid with two different credit cards and used different names (One for me and the other one for a friend). Not five minutes later I received an order confirmation for my friend´s purchase, but I didn´t get a confirmation email with the order confirmation number for my own ticket.
I checked my bank account and my credit card has been already charged.

Should I keep waiting for a few more days? Or maybe, could you please email me the order number?

The order number of my friend´s purchase -wich I did right after mine- is XXXXXXXX
, if that helps.

I would like to know if this can be fixed or no, so I would be very grateful for your response.

Thank you for the help and kindness,
XXXXX XXXXX XXXXXX

¿Qué tendría que corregir?? (Las XXXXXXXX obviamente son datos personales :shh:)

Gracias por adelantado.

Welcome to the forums! Your English is much better than you give yourself credit for.

Hello. I will do some corrections in your original post awhile.

Porque te llamas Rusty?

Why do your name is Rusty?

I hope you can understand me.:)

Fazor March 18, 2009 02:08 PM

I wasn't sure if I should use "you" (te) or the "se" form in that situation. Now I know. :) Thank you.

CrOtALiTo March 18, 2009 02:09 PM

You're welcome.

Email formal 2ª parte

Tengo la respuesta al email anterior:

Quote:

XXXXXX,

I only have one ticket order under your name. Can you please check and see if your credit card was charged for the secondary ticket? If so, please email me the credit card statement and I will take care of it on this end. If not, please call me at the phone number listed below, so I can take your order via phone.

XXXXXXXX,

If you have a ticket under my name ((XXXXXXXXX XXXX) then that must be my ticket. As I said, the other ticket I purchased was under a different name, the name of my friend, XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXX , order number XXXXXX
(It has been invoiced with invoice number XXXXXXXXX). Her credict card was charged correctly and there were no problems with that purchase(except that the zip code of the shipping address was wrong but then I realized that it doesn´t matter because we´re from Spain so our tickets won´t be mailed, they will be held at registration desk).
So, that ticket under my name?, that´s the one I need the order number for.

Thanks for your help and fast answer,
XXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX

If I understand you right, what you wanted to say is:

¿Es por eso que te llamas Rusty? = Is that why you're called Rusty?

Or if you wanted to be formal, you could change "te llamas" to "se llama".

I think they misunderstood you and they think you purchased two tickets under your name. My suggestions are above. I expanded and changed the ending to be more clear and explicit as to what exactly you are asking for. Good luck! :)

Yep, that's exactly what I was going for. I used se llama because if he's a million years old, then he's my senior and definately deserves to be addressed formally! :)

I'm not THAT old, but you could still tutearme, even if I were.

Quote:

The ticket was purchased under EL NOMBRE DE MI AMIGA. As for the secondary ticket, I do not have one in the system. Please resubmit your ticket order through our web site at www.creationent.com

Thank you for your concern and sorry for th
e inconvenience.

One suggestion for the part in green:
Today they reimbursed me for the ticket, therefore, as you directed, I'll purchase another.

Allure March 20, 2009 06:18 PM

Gracias ;).
Asunto resuelto.
