This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for May 13, 2009

acertijo (masculine noun (el)) — riddle. Look up acertijo in the dictionary

No pude hallar la respuesta para el acertijo.
I couldn't find the answer to the riddle.

You beat me to it, Bob. I tried to get on earlier (before work) this morning to make the same comment and this thread wasn't started yet. TOO MANY "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"'s. :)

Bob - puedes ocultar texto en una respuesta a una tema. Debes escribir la solución a tu acertijo en texto oculto. :)

A synonimous for "acertijo" is "adivinanza". In Spain is most used "adivinanza" than "acertijo", and children usually say: "adivina adivinanza..."

First I thought it was ice, but not, it's salt. I didn't realize with "yellow", now I understand :)
