The most common usage in Spanish (for me) is "sombrero hongo", then "bombín" (but sounds a bit affected to me).

I see in the dictionary the other two options ("hongo" and "sombrero de hongo") but I personally never used these variations.

What is most the most common translation for "derby" in your zone? (Mexico, Argentina, Chile...)

México: Bombín.
Probablemente también se entendería "sombrero de hongo".

Usaré "bombín" que es lo más "cortín" para mis subtítulos... o mi subtitulín... :D

Mi primer instinto era confusión, porque derby significa un partido deportivo entre dos equipos del mismo pueblo, pero resulta que es también una traducción del nombre inglés "bowler hat".
