Churchgoer

In a general sense, how do you say churchgoer in Spanish? this is someone who attends church regularly and is religeous. Does persona religiosa work? Persona que atiende a la iglesia?

I like persona religiosa. The dictionary says persona practicante. More people on the Internet use the former.

What's a churchgoer? Somebody who goes to church?
Then you would say practicante. But, for someone who goes very often and is praying all day, you say beato/a. I think persona religiosa can fit that kind of person who really have a deep religious feeling, without considering if he or she goes to the church or not.

Persona practicante seems vague. Maybe parroquiano practicante would be better or feligrés practicante would be more precise.

I would simply say practicante, it's not a perfect translation, but it's the best there is.

Another possible translation could be "fiel" Los fieles...

practicante. Better with the religion first.
Es un católico practicante.
Es un mormón practicante.
Es un budista practicante.
"Persona religiosa" is more a person with a deep religius feeling, but perhaps this person goes to the church often but doesn't attend mess.
saludos :D

Those are good options, Sosia, pero no sé si son la mejor traducción de churchgoer.

Es un católico practicante. = He's a practicing Catholic.
Es un mormón practicante. = He's a practicing Mormon.
Es un budista practicante. = He's a practicing Buddhist.

Perhaps we should keep it simple:

She's a chuchgoer - Ella asiste a la iglesia.
They are a churchgoing family - Esa es una familia que asiste a la iglesia.
