Levantar
How do we translate "levantar" in the following context?
My best friend me levanto a mi novia, when I went to Paris for one year. |
stole
"lifted (robbed)" My best friend stole my girlfriend ... |
The Mexican equivalent: "...me bajó a mi novia"
It seems our colloquialisms here just went for the opposite. :D Also there is "...me voló a mi novia". "Volar" is the colloquial synonym of "robar". :) |

Uy, pues dice el DRAE que el error es mío y que "francesismo" es también correcto (por feo que me suene). :banghead:
Así que no solo en italiano. http://forums.tomisimo.org/picture.p...&pictureid=587 |
