Hi there..
I was wondering what does it mean when someone says 'Maquíssima' while describing something beautiful like
Sembles una model a la foto! Maquíssima!

I don't think it's Castillian, but maybe it's Italian, Portuguese, Catalan or
Gallego. My first guess is Italian.

Google translator detects it as Spanish but doesn't give a translation. I have never seen that word before. i'm interested to see what other say about it. Maybe its a slang word in Spanish?

By form it is a superlative of "maco" or "maca". There are a variety of meanings in different on-line dictionaries; the only one that's an adjective (maco/maca) shows up at rae.es, defined as "malo, pícaro, bellaco", along the lines of "rogue/roguish". I think that poli's suspicion that this is slang is correct.

The sentence in the OP is written in Catalan. The word in question means 'very nice'.

maquíssima (Catalan) = guapísima (Castilian)

By the way, "maqueado" in Spain is a colloquial word that means to be all dressed up.
