Refranes
Hola a todos
Podria alguno traducir al idioma ingles los siguientes refranes no ofende el que quiere sino el que puede a palabras necias oidos sordos gracias |
The first refrán can be summed up a couple of different ways:
Offense doesn't come by him who wants to offend, but by him who is able to offend. Is that all you've got? You'll need to try a lot harder than that to offend me. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but (your) words will never hurt me. (This isn't as much to the point, but it's a commonly-used phrase, especially by children. This is a retort that means "you'll need more than words to offend me.") You can only be offended if you allow yourself to be offended. The second refrán: A palabras necias, oídos sordos. |
