I´m not sure which one you are looking for:

colgado -da adjetivo (ver tbcolgar)
A (plantado): me dejó colgada con la comida hecha I had the food all ready and he didn't show o turn up; me dejó colgado y tuve que hacerlo todo yo she didn't turn up o she left me in the lurch o she let me down and I had to do it all myself
B
1 (argot) asignatura: ¿te ha quedado alguna asignatura colgada para septiembre? do you have to do any retakes in September?
2 (argot) (por drogas) spaced out (familiar)
3 (Chilefamiliar) (que no entiende, no sabe): quedé más colgado con su explicación … his explanation left me completely in the dark; en física estamos todos colgados none of us has a clue about physics
4 (Colombiafamiliar) (atrasado) behind; estoy colgado de trabajo I'm behind with my work
5 (Colombiafamiliar) (de dinero) short of money; viven colgados they're always short of money, they live from hand to mouth

I think that no one of this acceptions gives the real sense to "estar colgado de alguien". It is like to be in love (or dependent love?) with somebody.
Creo que ninguna. Estar colgado de alguien puede significar algo como estar enamorado de alguien o estar embobado con alguien"

This translates directly.
To be hung up on someone/ to be stuck on someone, and there are more.
