Woodchuck/groundhog/marmot

What is the difference between a woodchuck, a groundhog and a marmot?

What would be the equivalents in Spanish?

Woodchuck = Marmota americana?
Groundhog = Marmota?
Marmot = Marmota/rata de montaña?

A woodchuck and a groundhog are the same thing. (This animal is also called a whistling pig (a whistler) or a marmot, but the last denomination is stretching it.) A groundhog/woodchuck is the largest mammal of the squirrel family (Family: Sciuridae; Genus: marmota; Species: marmota monax).

marmota de América = groundhog/woodchuck

Thank you, Rusty.

Apologies to all, but I can't help thinking of the old saw "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

Totally on thread, I mean on point..., not only apologies accepted, but input warmly appreciated...
(I hope moderators are of the same inclination... la the Pisa's tower...)
