Rewind/Fast Forward (and more)
On electronic equipment, at least in Spain, the device has everything in English, that is,
Dwn (down) Up [referring to Volume] Volume File [referring to a recorded computer digital audio file] Record Stop Play Rew [Rewind] FFw [Fast Forward] Normally the translated manual will refer to these "buttons". But if I wanted to translated these (for the actual manufacture of the device, and have it in Spanish) what would be the best translation for these terms? I am giving below what I would do, but I'd like to get input from the majority of countries... ie, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Perú, Cuba, Colombia... (you name it) My take, Dwn (down) = Reducir Up [referring to Volume] = Aumentar Volume = Volumen File = Archivo Record = Grabar Stop = Stop / (Parar) Play = Play / (Tocar) Rew [Rewind] = Retroceso FFw [Fast Forward] = Avance PLAY and STOP are the ones I'd leave as they are, but not sure if this will communicate best to everyone... Any input on these terms will be great! |
En Chile subimos y bajamos el volumen, el resto es lo mismo.
