learnspanish.com uses "cada uno" and "todos" for everyone. What are the different ways of saying "everyone," and do they have different connotations?

I guess "cada uno" is more related to "each one of them/us", so it is used rather to emphasize the individuals in a group of people. :thinking:

· Todos estaban ahí.
Everyone was there.

· Cada uno de los que estaban ahí, estaba contento.
Everyone of those who where there was happy.

· El nuevo papá nos dio a todos un puro.
The brand new dad gave everyone of us a cigar.

· El nuevo papá nos dio a cada uno un puro.
The brand new dad gave everyone a cigar. -> one cigar for each one of us.

Ah thank you that makes sense especially since "cada uno" uses cada.

That's right. There might be situations in which "todos" and "cada uno" could be ambiguous. For instance:
- Todos pagaron 100 € para ir a la excursión.
- Cada uno pagó 100 € para ir a la excursión. (this one is clearer).
