Estudio aviación
in Spanish to study Aviation is to take some courses to become a pilot. Do we say the same in English? to study Aviation?

Así es.
Mi tío es ingeniero aeronáutico jubilado, pero incluso "estudio ingeniería aeronáutica" creo que en inglés es "I study aviation /aeronautics / study of flying / science of flight" que son sinónimos bastante próximos.
