Me hace falta..

Hola,

which is correct

Me hace falta or Me haces falta?

my book's saying the first while internet googling gives me only the latter option

and how to say 'i dont need'

No me hace falta or Me no hace falta, the second i would think is correct, as 'No' stands before verbs

Muchas gracias!

They are both correct: with the expression "hacerle falta", the subject is the thing or person needed, and the indirect object is the person who needs the subject. "Me haces falta" = "I need/miss you (familiar)", while "me hace falta" = "I need/miss you(polite)/him/her/it".

No me hace falta:good: or Me no hace falta:bad:, the second i would think is correct, as 'No' stands before verbs

The first one is correct. When the adverb "no" modifies a verb, it goes before all object pronouns that stand before the verb. One NEVER separates before-verb object pronouns from their verbs.
