Iris, I think mijos is a shortened form of mis hijos(probably columbian slang, though I´ve also heard it used among other Latin American countries).

You're right Jane! Mijos is a shortened form of mis hijos and yes, it's Colombian Slang, remember Colombia with an "o" not "u" It's how you would say hi to people you care for or you're close to....

"Que mas mijo/a" "Como esta mijo/a"
