To get tiene 2 significado obtener/volverse, hacerse.
En el presente:
I get
You get
We get
They get
It gets
------------------------------------
En el pasado:
I got
You got
We got
They got
It got
----------------------------------------------------
En el perfecto (el sinificado cambia) significa hacerse/ ponerse (principalmente). Tambien significa obtenido pero a mi me suena raro.

I have gotten/I've gotten
We have gotten/we've gotten
You have gotten/you've gotten
They have gotten/ they've gotten
It has gotten/it's gotten
-------------------------------------------------------------
otros significados

To get lost/ perderse

She is an American. One day I asked her where I could find a website to make use of a dictionary. I need your help. How can I use these verbs (get, got) and where are they used?

And if you could give some examples, please, I would appreciate it.

Above are some alternate corrections.

Poli explained the verb to get well enough, so I don't need to add anything more to his explanation.

One thing Poli didn't mention, though, is that got is also used in another verb construction, where it functions as an auxillary, or helping verb. In that construction, it helps the main verb.

I'm getting a present.
I got a present.
I've gotten a present.

I have a present.
I've got a present.
Recibo un regalo.
Recibí un regalo.
He recibido un regalo.

Tengo un regalo.
Tengo un regalo.

Note that many people in the U.S. say I got a present when they mean to say I've got a present. The former is substandard usage. The latter is the correct way to say that you have a present, or you can just say I have a present.

Have a good day!
