Tiene varios significados en inglés. Quisiera saber si hay una palabra en español en el siguiente uso de la palabra:

They were poised for total victory after winning that strategic battle. I would translate poised as al borde de or al punte de , but I suspect there is a more direct word in Spansh.

In that context I would say "Estaban preparados para la victoria total después..."

or

"Se sabían ganadores totales después..."

Other options,

They were poised for total victory after winning that strategic battle.
Estaban listos para una victoria total después de esa batalla estratégica.

Se sentían serenos y sabedores de una victoria total después de esa batalla estratégica.
