Quiero mejorar mi escritura. (I need to improve my writing.)
¿Te gusta mi escribir? (Do you like my writing?.)

Why is one 'escritura' and the other 'escribir'?

Can a mod move this to the vocab part of the forum? I accidentally posted this to the wrong part.
