Bañémonos?

Bañémonos?

I heard this word on a reggaeton song. Is it a real word or slang?

The lyric went something like "tu quieres
bañémonos en sudor". I assume it means 'you want to bathe in sweat' but why is bañémonos used?

Thanks!

I guess the whole thing should start with "si tu quieres...." and it is inviting someone to be soaking wet in sweat.

if you know what I mean.

In Chile people invite others for a "chest sweat"

Bañemonos en sudor means lets bathe ourselves in sweat. Tú quieres bañemonos en sudor doesn't make sense unless it proceeded with si

Ah. so its subjunctive. that makes since.

So are they just leaving the 's' off bañémonos? Should it be "nos
bañémonos" or "bañémoSnos"?

thanks again!

Bañémonos

The plural form loses that "s" when adding the pronoun.

Now, do you understand that as I do? It gets a bit explicit, right?

@jcina: Although it's conjugated as the subjunctive, it's rather taken as some sort of imperative for "nosotros", and it's usually interpreted as an invitation for a collective action. :)
